The full Wise Hippo Birthing Programme, active birthing and my Breastfeeding Preparation Class over 5 Thursday evenings from 7.00pm to 9.30pm.

Take the fear out of birth and gain a really useful tool kit for “the right birth on the day”.  This course will show you how to use hypnobirthing methods to help you enjoy your pregnancy and to help keep you and your partner calm and relaxed throughout the birth of your baby.  A comprehensive antenatal course following The Wise Hippo Birthing Programme, this course will start your journey towards an empowered positive birth experience no matter what path your birthing takes on the day.  You and your partner will learn methods for breathing, visualisation, anchoring, active birthing, relaxation and also a 2.5 hour preparation for breastfeeding class.    You will also learn about navigating your way through the Irish Maternity services and about informed consent.

Course fee includes text book, an online version of the book, 6 downloadable MP3s, access to birth films and videos, my support throughout your pregnancy.

Suitable for expectant mums and their birth partners from 20 weeks gestation.

Course includes:

• understanding physiological/normal birth

• using deep relaxation and self-hypnosis

• breathing through labour and birth

• increasing your comfort during the different stages of labour

• preparing for all types of birth and changes to plans

• partners role and ways to help

• practice for a calm and confident pregnancy

• Breastfeeding: understanding how it works and how to make it work for you!
